Dr. Khan and our team deliver the latest in dental technology and evidence-based care in a warm, supportive atmosphere that helps children develop confidence during dental visits.
MEET YOUR PEDIATRIC DENTIST
Dr. Shireen Khan
Dr. Shireen Khan’s passion for dentistry sparked when she was only seven years old. Her childhood dentist would captivate her with stories and imaginative characters while explaining dental instruments. This early inspiration guides her approach in creating memorable, positive experiences for each child in her care.
After growing up in Pakistan and completing dental school there, Dr. Khan came to Boston in 2013 to further her education. She graduated from Boston University with her DMD in 2015, launching her career in both community health and private practice settings. As the Dental Director at Dimock Center in Boston, she led a nine-chair office serving underserved communities, demonstrating her commitment to accessible, quality dental care.
Dr. Khan's passion for education and mentorship shines through her experience as a clinical instructor, working with dental students from Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University. She continued teaching during her pediatric residency as a Teaching Assistant at UT Health San Antonio, where she recently completed her Masters in Pediatric Dentistry in 2024.
Dr. Khan is certified in Pediatric Dentistry and maintains active affiliations with the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, and North Texas Dental Society. Her research contributions have been recognized with a 1st Place AAPD Research Poster award in 2024.
Outside the office, Dr. Khan enjoys spending time with her husband and their new baby girl. She loves to travel and maintains a connection to her family heritage through her interest in horses, coming from a family of polo players. In fact, the practice name "Marengo" was the name of her father's first memorable polo horse, named after Napoleon's famous white stallion!
As a new mother herself, Dr. Khan brings a personal understanding to the care she provides for your children too!

Your child's appointment will begin with a warm welcome from our team in our playful waiting area. Dr. Khan takes time to build rapport with each child, explaining dental instruments and procedures in age-appropriate, positive ways. Parents are welcome to accompany children during treatment, and our team prioritizes minimally invasive techniques, pain management, and kid-friendly comfort throughout every procedure.
